Internship Opportunities

Willoway is the perfect place for a paid internship.  If you are looking for a field experience to help gain experience for a teaching job, a management job, or even a practical lesson in leadership, think about camp. Talk with your college advisor and ask if you can use your job at Willoway as an internship, practicum, or even for course credit.  Over the years, we have mentored future doctors, nurses, teachers, lawyers -- as they gain skills in teambuilding, management and leadership.  Willoway’s senior team will gladly work with you to help you or friends who want to work at camp meet internship requirements.  Complete a staff application or This email address is being protected from spambots. For more than 50 years, Willoway has been offering the BEST summer ever for campers and staff alike. Led by mature staff on acres of outstanding facilities, campers look forward to having fun and building lifelong friendships.  Each summer campers look forward to non-competitive fun utilizing athletic fields, pools, pond, lake program, animal farm, fishing, drama, dance, nature, tennis, golf, go-karting, ga ga ga and so much more.

Each summer caring, creative and enthusiastic individuals come to Willoway from all over the world.  With more than 70 college age counselors from Metro Detroit and the United Kingdom, Willoway counselors, waterfront and specialty staffs combine to create the best summer ever.

If you looking to be part of a team that makes a difference, Willoway is for you.

Our team is selected for its warmth, maturity, ability, and enthusiasm.  Counselors come from all educational backgrounds (camp jobs are not just for education majors).  We hold extensive pre-camp training sessions to acquaint you with Willoway’s philosophy and our concern for campers.  We are proud that each year we have a strong team of retuning and new staff, including counselors who were once campers themselves.

Please Note:  Camp staff rides the camp vehicles from locations in Farmington Hills, West Bloomfield, Novi, Bloomfield Hills, Huntington Woods/Royal Oak, and Commerce to pick up and return the campers from several express shuttle locations.  We look forward to talking with you about the "best summer ever"!
